The chicken wings with jerk seasoning were not a hit. But we ordered run runners which was tasty and refreshing considering she the bartender makes them fresh. The food selection/ prices is basically the same as the neighboring restaurant. I guess I felt they should have considering the location. Let's start with I was taken aback when I didn't see and learned they do not have oysters. We were also asked several times if we were staying at the resort, (we were not) but that shouldn't really matter. We will choose a different place next year, the original price point was way too much for the food quality, they did ultimately end up comping some of our meal which was only fair, after all they asked us to sign over a credit card confirmation before they would even take our reservation, so we were really expecting something worth all that.
Needless to say, not terribly romantic despite the sea breeze.
Children were playing in the dining area, and people were cutting through with dogs, and we felt seated in the way, super close to the walkway although there was plenty of room all around our table so that we could have been actually in the dining area. Management did offer us a different main course to replace our extremely tough and bland prime rib, but we declined. We went for Christmas dinner and were expecting a special meal, but came away disappointed. I'm sure much of the enjoyment was due to the man talking care of us. The server saw it and whisked it away before I even said a word. When the fish came out it was on a regular bun. But the fish and onions were really good. Had a a grouper and sauteed onion sandwich. I could feel the wind from their wings on my face as they flew in and out and they would walk on my feet.I had on flip flops. But these guys were a bit much hanging around my feet. Now I am used to eating at places down this way that have birds running around outside. Only thing I wasn't crazy about were all the birds. Very knowledgeable about being Gluten Free.
